With a title taken from a magic trick in author Christopher Priest’s The Prestige, this exhibition promises to play with the suspension of disbelief. The first exhibition under the museum’s new director, Marc-Olivier Wahler, it will feature work by more than 50 artists. Pieces by established names like Robert Gober will be placed alongside works by emerging and mid-career artists such as Hannah Rickards and Daniel Firman. Look out for levitating objects—including, but not limited to, tables and elephants—as well as musical thunderstorms and strategically timed electrical shortages.
