A prominent figure in Mexican conceptual art, Ulises Carrión was a prolific artist, writer, and theorist. Following its debut at Madrid’s Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Carrión’s retrospective will open in his native Mexico at Museo Jumex. Composed of nearly 350 pieces, including books, films, mail art, and documentation of public projects and performances, the exhibition underscores “structure and language” as the fundamental themes of his work.
