Situated in the historic Hill Building originally designed by Shreve, Lamb, and Harmon, architects of the Empire State Building. The art deco details embody the glamour and modernity of their age and inspired Deborah Berke Partner’s transformation of the building into a 10,500 square foot contemporary art museum, 125-room boutique hotel, restaurant, bar, and event space. The restaurant, Counting House, is led by executive chef Thomas Card and serves regional dishes that celebrate North Carolina’s rich seafood heritage.
